The International Taekwon-Do Federation was established in 1966 by the art's founding father General Choi Hong Hi, who remained president until his death in 2002. For more information please click on the logo to the right to visit the official ITF website.
The United Kingdom Taekwon-Do Association was established in 1967 by Grand Master Rhee Ki Ha 9th dan. Taekwon-Do was first brought to the UK by Grand Master Rhee, who is often referred to as the father of European Taekwon-Do. The British Taekwon-Do Council is the only governing body for Taekwon-Do in the UK which is recognised by the Sports Council / UK Sport.
